You can give Plastic Crap to a kid aged 7 to 16 anywhere in Australia. You subscribe using their delivery address, and a box of 6 to 10 or more 3D-printed fidgets and toys turns up in their letterbox with their name on it. It's $29.99 a month for the first three boxes, delivery included.
Read this bit first
Plastic Crap is an ongoing subscription, not a prepaid gift. There's no fixed three-month or six-month gift pack that stops on its own, and no gift card or gift message at checkout yet.
In practice that means: you pay $29.99 a month for the first three boxes, then $39.99 every three months, and it keeps going until you cancel it. Cancelling is free, takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and there's no minimum term — but it is something you have to do, rather than something that happens automatically.
If you want it to be exactly three boxes, put a reminder in your phone for after the third one arrives.
How to give one
- Use their address. At checkout, enter the delivery address of the person getting the box.
- Use your own email. Receipts, renewal notices and the subscription management link all go to the email you sign up with. Keep it as yours so you stay in control of the billing — and so the surprise stays a surprise.
- Pay. Square handles the payment. Your first box is billed straight away.
- Cancel when you want to stop. Use My account and request a secure link with your signup email. You don't need to create an account.
What turns up
A box of 6 to 10 or more 3D-printed pieces — things that twist, click, rattle or just look good on a desk — plus a Plastic Crap NFC wordmark keychain and a card for grown-ups explaining what's inside. Each month's mix is different and it's a surprise on purpose.
Box 001 is the Halloween box: spooky-cute rather than scary, with an articulated dragon, a mini spider, a glow-in-the-dark sliding ghost, a fidget spinner and a witch cauldron clicker. Box 002 is a mix of popular prints from social media. Box 003 is Christmas themed. Full detail on the subscription box page.
Timing
Box 001 starts dispatching on 6 October 2026. To get Box 001, subscribe by 11:59 pm on 16 October 2026, Australia/Sydney time.
Dispatch is the day we post the box, not a guaranteed arrival date. If you're giving this for a particular day — a birthday, Halloween, Christmas morning — please don't count on it landing on that exact date. Australia Post timing is out of our hands. Giving a card that says a box is coming is the safer plan.

Good to know before you buy
- Ages 7 to 16. One box, one mix, no age picker.
- Contains small parts. Not suitable for children under 3.
- Australia only. We don't ship internationally.
- Delivery is included in the price. No postage added at checkout.
- The pieces are 3D printed in PLA, a low-toxicity plant-derived plastic. They're made to be played with, but not to be dropped, forced, left in the sun or put near food. Safety and care detail here.
- No change-of-mind returns. If something arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect or missing, we'll sort it — see care, returns & refunds. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law aren't affected.
Is a subscription a good present for a kid?
It works well for the kid who already has plenty of stuff, because the thing you're actually giving is the mail day — something with their name on it turning up more than once. It works less well if you need a wrapped object in a hand on a specific morning, for the timing reason above. If that's what you need, a card announcing the subscription does the job and the boxes become the follow-up.
